Our September MTA was wonderful! Thanks to all who attended. We were treated to Brahms and Mozart Clarinet Quintets played with gusto by Passione Quintet.
Following the beautiful music Jackie chatted with Alexander Jeantou, Pincipal Tuba, Auckland Phil. We were all very lucky to met his shiny tuba up close!

Our Spring produce table provided delicious homemade and homegrown goodies from our wonderful committee. Thank you to everyone who provided koha in exchange for a treat 🥰
See you October 23rd for our next MTA.

Thank you to everyone who attended our August MTA. We tapped our toes to the incredible compositions and musical conversations between members of the Iggy Nama Ruci Quartet. If you wish to hear more from the Quartet, they're perfoming on Sept 22nd at Auckland Jazz&Blues Club, Birkenhead RSA.
We heard from Auckland Phil's Associate Concertmaster, Monique Lapins, that she needs to learn all the solos that the Concertmaster plays, just in case!
See you September 25th when we'll meet Alexander Jeantou, Principal Tuba.

Sharing some sad news to our Friends family - from Miranda Adams Very sad to share the news that my dear friend and previous AP colleague Brecon Carter passed away yesterday. He will always be a legend, the first concertmaster of Auckland Philharmonia who served tirelessly for so many years, one of those incredibly rare humans who epitomized loyalty, humility and honour. I am so grateful for the years I shared the front stand with him, he taught me how a good leader behaves, and he never missed a day of work. My heart goes out to Jessica and all the family. Funeral is this Wednesday 1pm at Holy Trinity Devonport.
