The Ministry of Justice NZ and Paul Goldsmith loves banging on about **"access to justice."** π€‘βοΈ A system created and designed complex for lawyers = $$$$$$$.
Until you're a self-represented parent.
Then it's:
π Fill out the forms yourself.
π Learn the law yourself.
π Figure out the process yourself.
π Hope you don't make a mistake.
π We cannot give you legal advice .. talk to a lawyer
Or...
πΈ Hire a lawyer.
πΈ Pay thousands.
πΈ Keep the machine fed.
Funny how there's plenty of support for the system, but bugger-all support for ordinary Kiwis trying to navigate it on their own.
βοΈ "Access to justice" sounds great.
π° "Access to a lawyer" seems to work a lot better.
