📌 IMPORTANT INFO reg Probasee Durga Puja
We are looking forward to celebrating this year’s Probasee Sarbojonin Durgotsav and would like to share some important information with you. These guidelines are essential for smooth coordination and to ensure that we continue to enjoy a safe and respectful celebration at the Athiya Trust Community Centre.
Rituals and Practices
📌SINDOOR KHELA:
This year, the ritual of Sindoor Khela will not take place at the venue after the Goddess Boron ritual.
The Boron ritual will go ahead, and sindoor for this will be provided at the venue. We kindly request that no one brings their own sindoor.
Any sindoor brought to the venue will be collected before the ritual and returned when you leave.
After Boron, wet wipes will be available, and hand washing facilities are provided in the same hall. Please note that access to toilets is only permitted after sindoor is washed off.
It is very important to avoid sindoor stains anywhere on the premises — floors, walls, or facilities.
📍VENUE GUIDELIENES
⛔︎ ENTRY & EXIT
The Selwyn Street entrance is strictly a fire exit and cannot be used for entry or exit.
All entry and exit must be from the rear of the building, where the main parking area is located.
📱WAITING AREA
A marquee will be set up at the back of the hall to be used as a waiting zone, in case the venue reaches maximum capacity (400 people).
This area is strictly for waiting, drop-offs, and pickups only — no parking is allowed here.
🥄 KITCHEN AREA ACCESS
The cooking area of the kitchen is restricted to the official kitchen team (they will be wearing badges).
It is not accessible for general use.
📌WHY THESE RULES MATTER
These measures are in place to:
Ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees.
Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the venue.
Honour the rules of the Athiya Trust Community Centre so that we may continue to use the space in future years.
We sincerely request your cooperation and support in following these guidelines. Together, we can ensure a safe, respectful, and joyous Durgotsav for everyone.
Members of the EC committee would be at the venue at all times. Please approach them in case of any need.
