Today we launched the very first Little Labs session for Auckland Libraries, right here at Waiuku Library — and what a way to kick things off! Young curious minds dove into the world of sharks and insects, asking big questions and making even bigger discoveries.

🫀🦴 Blood cells, bones, and big “aha!” moments!

This week’s Little Labs session was an absolute hit!

We explored how blood cells work like delivery vans, police officers, and builders inside our bodies.

Students got hands-on with a pumping heart model, viewed real X-rays on light boxes, and learned how bones protect, support, and even make blood.

Watching kids light up as they discovered how their bodies work, was a reminder of how powerful curiosity can be when it’s nurtured early. Science is MEANT to be this fun and accessible.

It’s such a privilege to help spark the next generation of thinkers and doers. 💡🧪
