Tribute to Savitribai Phule (03 January 1831 – 10 March 1897)

Savitribai Phule, the first woman teacher of India, was a true pioneer of women’s education and social reform. She dedicated her life to educating girls and uplifting the oppressed, breaking social barriers with immense courage and determination.

Her vision and strength were strongly supported and inspired by her husband, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), a great social reformer who stood beside her as a guide, mentor, and partner in her mission for equality and justice.

Together, they laid the foundation for a more just and enlightened society. Savitribai Phule’s legacy continues to inspire generations to believe in the power of education, equality, and compassion.
