Do you have pink jobs and blue jobs when you’re away in the motorhome or caravan?

Like many couples, Jacqui and Ady van der Beek had defined roles on the road, Ady on the outside while Jacqui did the inside.

But when Ady ended up in hospital after a skiing accident, Jacqui had to tow the caravan for the very first time, through snow and ice all the way from the NZMCA Lake Tekapo Park back home to the North Island.

She’s grateful for all the help she received from NZMCA members along the way and is now very confident towing the caravan and is practicing reversing.

We’re looking for friendly individuals or couples to be the welcoming face at either Glinks Gully or Kellys Bay coastal campgrounds located on the stunning Te Pouto Peninsula in Kaipara.

As a Volunteer Camp Host, you will:
- Be the onsite contact for pre-paid campers
- Share helpful information about the campground
- Keep an eye on the campground and assist visitors with access
- Liaise with NZCMA if any issues arise

Contractors mow the lawns and clean the shared facilities. In exchange for carrying out the above light duties, you will receive free accommodation and access to the onsite facilities.

We have opportunities available throughout the year, so if you are interested in a relaxed coastal lifestyle and meeting new people, please email [email protected].
