🏕️ Auckland Council are looking for camp hosts to help maintain Āwhitu Regional Park, Ō Manawatere, Tāpapakanga, Tāwharanui, Whakanewha, Te Ara I Tautahi / Ambury, Te Hāruhi / Shakespear and Maungatauhoro / Wenderholm Regional Parks during the 2026–2027 summer period. 🏕️

This is a perfect opportunity for those who love to explore the beautiful landscape of Auckland’s parks.

Responsibilities include a few hours each day checking in campground customers, advising people on the regional park activities, and supporting ranger staff on managing campground behaviour.

Volunteers will be fully supported in all duties & be given a full induction & training.

New NZMCA Park – Mt Lees (Site ID 4647)

From tomorrow, NZMCA members visiting the Manawatū will have access to another relaxing NZMCA Park at Mt Lees, next to the popular Mt Lees Reserve.

A favourite with locals, Mt Lees is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy peaceful bush walks, spot native birdlife, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings. With plenty of open space and an adventure area for the kids, it is an ideal stop for all members exploring the region.

Thanks to James Adamson and the Manawatū District Council for helping make this project possible, Awakino Contractors Ltd for completing the site works, and local member Brian Purdie for his support on the ground.
