Kam na bane ni mauri 🌊 Momentum is back for 2026!

Designed for Pasifika creatives, this free programme develops practical skills in leadership, communication, collaboration, and professional practice.

We’re kicking off this year with The Art of Conflict & Cultural Safety, a two-part workshop series led by long-time Tautai facilitator Dr Andrea Edwards.

This workshop explores practical tools for communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and cultural safety applied across creative, organisational, and community settings.

Whether you're an artist, collaborator, producer, or creative leader, this series will help strengthen your interpersonal skills and how to navigate conflict within your field.

Session One: Saturday 18 July 2026 | 11am–4pm
Session Two: Saturday 25 July 2026 | 11am–4pm

• All materials provided.
• Free parking for registered participants at Wilson Parking – 24 Mercury Lane.
• Participants are kindly asked to bring a plate to share as a koha.

Participants must be able to attend both sessions to register.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our next exhibition; nobody belongs here more than you.

nobody belongs here more than you brings together works by six students from across Tāmaki Makaurau - Ayla Brockes, Portia Haddon, Carmel Aroha Salmanzadeh, Isaiah Swann, Teuila Va’aelua, and Miro Wrightson-Lyons.

Developed through an open invitation, the exhibition provides a platform for emerging artists to present work outside of their respective academic institutions, highlighting the breadth, diversity, and current concerns of Pacific creative practice at an early stage of development.

Across photography, moving image, sculpture, installation, and material experimentation, the artists explore questions of identity, memory, gender, grief, migration, housing, and belonging. Their works consider the traces left by absence, the politics of representation, and the ways personal and collective histories are carried across generations. Together, they reflect on the relationship between lived experience and the social, cultural, and institutional structures that shape it.

Join us for the opening on Friday 19th June | 6-8pm.
