Our Critical Care Paramedic Marcel and Pilot Aaron joined the Ryan Bridge Today Show this morning to talk about how vital fundraising is to our rescue helicopter service.

It provides us with the specialised equipment needed to carry out complex rescue missions in remote areas. Equipment that is expensive and has a finite shelf life.

Donation money goes towards this essential gear, allowing us to focus on saving lives. ๐Ÿš

Watch and listen as two of our critical care paramedics are inserted onto a moving Coastguard Maraetai vessel.
Our crew regularly train for these over-water missions during โ€œwets and decksโ€ exercises. These manoeuvres require precision, teamwork and constant communication between the aircrew officer, pilot and CCPs to safely complete the operation above the water. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ
