Monday Night...

We spent with 20+ up and coming footy stars from the south side of Auckland.

Grateful to share time and space, especially the chat about the impact social media and gaming has on their rugby journey.

For those coming up, like I told my young friends, if you're on social media more (you can see it on your phone) than you are training, you might as well change your dream to be a social media influencer...

Grateful to have spent the day with the family from last Friday.

We visited 3 schools down in the Pukehoke area and was blessed to have some conversations with our young people around social media screen time and gaming.

These 11-13 sure know a lot more about these unregulated and at times unsupervised platforms than most adults think they know.

Could be seen as a cause for concern. For us it was good feedback to know the growing trends on what they think is normal and what we know it should be.

Hobbling in with crutches, I wasn't ever gonna pass this one up.

Privileged to be invited by David and the family down to Nelson to address almost 30 academy players from the Tasman Makos rugby union.

It was a great evening to talk about social media and its impact it is having on their sporting journey.

We are up to Episode 3 of our discoveries of ancient settlements in the bushlands of Savai‘i - Samoa. We found old platforms, walkways and fencelines.

What does this have to do with Digital Discipline? Everything. Being entrenched into discovering yourself through culture or other parts of life take you away from having your identity shaped by the cunningness of social media.

It gives a sense of gratitude (comparison is a huge issue with young people on social media) and humility when you are experiencing something bigger than yourself.

Definitely hasn't been as busy as we'd like lately.

Our message is too important to sell up shop and stop, so we keep it pushing even in dire looking circumstances.

We do it to educate and raise awareness in the hopes that some of our young people would consider cutting their time or getting off altogether.
