Following Hudson Taylor’s conviction that the gospel takes root when missionaries identify with the people they serve, we continue his work more than 160 years later, with the same commitment to seeing authentic Christian witness and church life flourish among all East Asia’s peoples.
Our methods reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Where churches are absent or resources are scarce, we prayerfully and humbly plant new congregations. Where churches already exist, we partner with them to strengthen and expand their reach. Sharing the gospel is a creative, reproducible work we pursue wherever possible, from praying for a people or place to helping local churches send out their own missionaries. In every sphere of life, we seek to embody the good news in culturally appropriate ways that bring positive transformation to individuals and communities.
