Support Vaitele Soi in his quest to win the World Regional Title with Event Polynesia!
Vaitele’s father from Vaovai Falealili died in 2003, today he still lives with his mother Sulufaiga (Taga & Vailele) and younger siblings at their modest home at Vailele, Samoa. Vaitele won Gold medals for Samoa in the amateur tournaments but missed out in the Olympic qualifier in 2008. In October 2009, Vaitele joined the Event Polynesia boxing program.
Today Vaitele has an impressive professional boxing record of 19 fights, 19 wins, 14 by way of knock out; 12 of the fights here in NZ, 1 in Australia and 1 in Tonga with the rest in Samoa. According to Mr. Lance Revill, President of New Zealand Professional Boxing Association, “Vaitele Soi is the best cruiserweight I have seen for some time.”
Here’s the link http://www.nzfighters.com/node/1231 to the Last Man Standing tournament in Auckland last May which Vaitele Soi won, beating one of New Zealand’s finest cruiserweight in the final – kickboxing legend Shane “Chopper” Chapman. Soi beat Mohammed Azzaoui (former WBO African champion) in the semi final. Vaitele Soi is an exciting 25 year old world title prospect.
Vaitele is one fight away from a propose world regional title fight in May in New Zealand (if he wins he will be ranked 15 in the world) . With the world still in recession, they are struggling to raise funds for Vaitele’s 23 March 2012 fight at the Auckland Boxing Association (ABA) stadium. Promoter Bruce Glozier has agreed to help by giving Event Polynesia 4 corporate tables ($1,200 for a table of 10 or $120 for a seat at the corporate table) to sell to raise the required funds for Vaitele to participate.
If you’re able to buy a corporate table or seats, or if you know someone that is interested to help Vaitele, please get in touch with Event Polynesia. Otherwise, they are giving away a 2012 Vaitele Soi boxing calendars in return for any monetary donation.

Epic is not a word to be bandied around, but Last Man Standing: The Trilogy was a show that seemed to have it all. Top NZ guitarist (Kara Gordon), elite BMX riders from around Australasia, a blindingly mercenary kickboxing battle and, of course, enough talented boxers to do Auckland's ASB Stadium so...
