Last night, Wednesday 12th at Pacific Music Awards, Sistema Aotearoa Music Director Anne Filimoehala was warmly recognised with the Creative New Zealand Award, recognising ‘those who are creating innovative genre-bending contemporary music that’s inclusive of all our communities’. In her acceptance, Ane says she’s blessed to work with the Sistema Aotearoa team - we reckon we’re blessed to have her leading us on the podium.

Last night, Wednesday 12th at Pacific Music Awards - NZ, Sistema Aotearoa Music Director Anne Filimoehala was warmly recognised with the Creative New Zealand Award, recognising 'those who are creating innovative genre-bending contemporary music that's inclusive of all our communities'. Last night, students from our Senior Orchestra and Senior Brass Band had the opportunity to compete in the KBB Music Festival!

They played exceptionally well, we are so proud of all their hard work 🎉

In this highlight, enjoy the Senior Orchestra perform Gabriel's Oboe, with the very talented Gideon Latai performing a trumpet solo 🎺

A memorable day making music together! 🎶✨

Our intermediate orchestra had the privilege of being conducted by David Kay from the Auckland Philharmonia. It was an inspiring experience filled with learning, energy, and incredible music-making.
A huge thank you to David for sharing his expertise and passion with our young musicians—we’re so grateful for the opportunity! 🎻🎺🥁

It’s all go at Sistema! After a successful Winter Concert, we now look forward to our next collaboration with the Auckland Youth Orchestra & the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies happening next Thursday at the Bruce Mason Theatre!

We are very grateful to the AYO for inviting us to take part in what will be an awesome concert.
