It's not just beach days.

🌄 Most skin cancers are caused by too much ultraviolet radiation (UVR), usually from the sun or other artificial sources such as sunbeds.
⛅ UVR can’t be seen or felt and can be harmful even on cool and cloudy days.
🧴Protect your skin when the UV index is 3 or above.

🚜 Fieldays 2026 🚜

Last week our team hit the road and headed for Fieldays in Hamilton - and what an incredible few days it was.

We loved connecting with so many of you - whether it was talking skin health, sharing a few laughs, or just having a good yarn.

Across the event, we saw 615 people, identified 70 suspicious lesions, and detected 13 suspected melanomas - a powerful reminder of why these events are so important 🫶🏼

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to all who helped bring this to life. Shout out to FMG for their epic on-the-ground support 👊🏼

We’re already looking forward to next year! 👋🏼

Self-checking your skin is one of the most powerful tools for detecting skin cancer early.

Here are a few handy tips:

🔎 Start by checking your entire body, including skin not normally exposed to the sun
📅 Get into a good routine, e.g. take a few minutes each month
🟤 Look for a new spot or mole, a spot that’s changing in size, shape, or colour, or something that looks different from the rest (your “ugly duckling”)
🪞 Use a mirror (or ask for help) to check hard-to-see areas
🦶🏼 Don’t forget places like your back, neck, ears, scalp, soles of your feet and your nails
🤳🏼 Take photos to track changes over time

If you notice anything new or unusual, contact your doctor or skin specialist straight away.

This feedback stopped us in our tracks because it's so spot on.

Early detection saves lives, and removing barriers can make all the difference. Huge thanks to our incredible nurses and support team for the compassion behind every spot check. If we help even one person catch melanoma early, it’s 100% worth it.
