Have you suffered from any of the long-term conditions obesity, diabetes or Gout?

This genomic research is focused on Pasifika and Maori communities. This could be of interest if you suffer from any of the long-term conditions. This will help us find the WHY? Why do I get gout, and take pills that sometime work? Your participation will contribute to the research study that will hopefully come up with new medication specifically for Pasifika and Maori, but also improve how we understand and diagnose and treat these conditions for our communities.

This is a collaboration with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Variant Bio and Novo Nordisk, with the research also taking place across New Zealand, Samoa and other Pacific Islands.

We’re now looking for Pasifika and Māori participants aged 18+ living in Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.

You don’t need to have a health condition to take part.

Please pass this on to families and friends who live in the Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.
