J Day is a free annual community event celebrating Aotearoa's Kiwi cannabis culture and protesting against prohibition, brought to you by NORML New Zealand Inc (1980) and a diverse coalition of local organisers, advocates and ordinary people working to make a difference.

*A lil' history:* J Day was originally held in November each year, then February, then for many years it moved to the first Saturday in May, and now J Day is held in Auckland on the first Saturday in December. The presence of THC or its metabolites in blood, breath, or saliva is not correlated with psychomotor performance - nor is it evidence of causation. NZ's new arbitrary numerical limits have little relation to impairment and may be used to punish those who pose no traffic safety risk.

The Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 was passed ☑️ with unanimous support of Labour and National, who normally will happily repeal each other's policies 💩 but in this case are so addled by the thought of drugs they have spent the last half century denying they were wrong and refusing to do anything about it. 🤡 So today, you can do three things: 1️⃣ Spark a torch of freedom 🗽 at 4:20 or in public. It's your right to protest! 2️⃣ Sign this petition. 3️⃣ Tell your elected representatives what you want, and vote accordingly!
