Private Rental Housing Support – TWR

Our Private Rental Housing Advisory Service is a free service available through TWR.

If you’re new to renting, feeling stuck, or just want to talk through your housing options, we’re here to support you and your whānau.

How we can help:
Help you understand your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, and what landlords are responsible for too
Support you to put your best foot forward when applying for rentals
Walk alongside you on your housing journey — right through to getting the keys to your new home
View properties before recommending them, to make sure they are safe and suitable
Weekly check-ins to keep you motivated, including a list of available homes at the time
Support if you’re facing barriers or discrimination in the private rental market
Extra short-term follow-up support after you move in, to help you and your whānau settle in well
We also offer free workshops to help you feel confident and prepared:
Ready to Rent – practical support to help you prepare for the private rental market
Residential Tenancy 101 – learn your rights, responsibilities, and what to expect as a tenant
Ready for Home Ownership – support and information for those thinking about the pathway to owning a home in the future
If you’d like to register for support, want to attend a workshop, or just want to have a kōrero about your housing options, please reach out. You don’t have to do this alone — we’re here to walk alongside you.

He Pānui Nui – We’ve Moved!
Our organisation has called Cameo Court home for a long, long time. It's a place woven with the memories of our kaimahi and Board, whānau, and the aroha of our nannies and koros who came before us.

Now, we're stepping into a new chapter —
Our programmes and operations have moved to 3 Rennie Drive, Māngere.

We carry the wairua with us into this new space, and we're excited for what lies ahead.
Same kaupapa, new wāhi, fresh energy.

Please note: we are no longer based at Cameo Court.
We look forward to welcoming you at Rennie Drive 💛
