Golden Flare was founded in 2013 by two friends with a common goal – to help others by fostering a greater sense of community spirit amongst New Zealanders. The aim was to combine our skills and experience of over 30 years in marketing, economics, statistics, data analysis and Information Technology to better New Zealand and minimise the struggle to fight poverty and hardship. After many hours spe
nt brain-storming and following numerous in-depth discussions, an initiative was born called Golden Flare. Golden Flare is a unique initiative as it collectively involves charities, local businesses, larger corporations and private donors in the aim of assisting those in need. By joining together, we aim to achieve our goal of contributing towards a better New Zealand. Golden Flare makes giving easy, safe and effective for corporate or private donors. All donations collected are sent directly to carefully selected charities, who meet strict criteria and are working towards the common goal of helping those in need in our communities. It assists corporate entities fulfill their corporate social responsibility initiatives by providing a direct, positive impact to the communities in which they operate. Local businesses also benefit by having incremental revenue from a previously disenfranchised market in the community. It is the philosophy of Golden Flare that a simple act of kindness could help ease the struggles of daily life for people living in hardship or poverty. A small act of humanity to feed a hungry mouth that will put a smile on a person’s face. A happy person is more likely to feel empowered to make a positive contribution to their community. We believe in creating a better New Zealand by fostering this strong sense of community.
