Lion Rockers Hi-Fi R O O T S *A M B A S S A D O R S Lion Rockers Hi-Fi are a crew united by a love of roots reggae music. The Lion Rockers Hi-Fi journey started in 2007.

Their hand crafted, custom-built reggae soundsystem, delivers a warm, hard and heavy weight sound – presenting reggae music as it should be heard. Lion Rockers selections are strictly vinyl, from an ever expanding collection of rare, vintage and modern records. In 2015 Joshwa received training in the dark art of record cutting and returned from Europe armed with his own record lathe, allowing them

to cut and share exclusive music otherwise unavailable to the public. Two record collectors, two custom-built speaker boxes, and a growing obsession with soundsystem 'roots and culture' soon saw Joshwa's workshop dedicated to crafting a fully-fledged traditional reggae Soundsystem. Lion Rockers Hi-Fi full Soundsystem launched in 2012 and from that point onward they have been pushing the culture forward. Their regular dances and festival (Ruapuke Roots Festival) have featured guests from New Zealand and abroad including the likes of Channel One Soundsystem (UK), Mungo’s Hi-Fi (UK), Alpha Steppa (UK), Jstar (UK), Kindred sounds (NZ), Earl Gateshead (UK) Rob smith (UK). We found our sound here and created something special. 🦁🙏 Most of these session would run into the very early hours, well past today's 4am curfew.
