Food waste is a huge issue in New Zealand as we waste 157,389 tonnes of food each year. oidable food waste such as bread crusts or leftovers. With a few handy tips for better planning, storing your food and loving your leftovers we aim to reduce the amount of food that Kiwis waste, which is not only better for our wallets, but also the environment. Love Food Hate Waste launched in NZ on 1 June 2016 and continues today to share ideas and tips for reducing food waste, saving money, and doing your bit for the planet.
