After a busy shift of medical emergencies, it’s crucial that our frontline teams have a place to return to where they can debrief, reset and recharge 🚑

This month we're raising vital funds towards repairs and rebuilds of ambulance stations all around the motu, and we'd love your help.

From living rooms to workplaces, roadsides to rugby games - and the occasional place so random you just roll with it 🤔

So far this year our people have helped people in 219,680 🚑 incidents around the motu

With every call our teams work to get people the right care. Sometimes it's is hard to miss - like an ambulance with lights and sirens in your driveway or a Major Incident Support Team at a natural disaster. Other times their work is less visible - a clinician providing advice over the phone, a rural extended care paramedic in the community, or teams working behind the scenes to establish the best pathways for patients through our health system.

Thank you to all our people for your mahi both on the road and behind the scenes.

If you’ve had a moment where one of our people made a difference in your life drop a comment or send us a DM, we’d love to hear your story 💛

Today we welcomed a boost in government funding for emergency ambulance service initiatives over the next four years.

This funding will help improve operational resilience, including through the development of two Auckland ambulance hubs to enhance response capability and reliability across the region.

Demand for ambulance services continues to rise, and the needs of our patients are becoming increasingly complex. Sustainable investment is critical to ensuring every Kiwi can access safe, reliable, and equitable emergency care when they need it most.

This funding announcement as a step in the right direction. Alongside this, we continue to work through the details of our contract for funding day to day emergency ambulance service delivery.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners who make this work possible every day 🚑🤝

This week is Youth Week and we’re celebrating the incredible mana and impact of our rangatahi! 🌟

This year’s theme, ‘Our Voices Matter, We Deserve to Be Heard,’ reminds us that when we support young people to be themselves, they shape our hapori (community) for the better 💛

Every great voice deserves a champion, so a shout out also to our St John Youth leaders who help build the confidence, leadership, and resilience we see in our cadets 🏆

We’re always on the lookout for more passionate volunteers to support our youth!

Throwback to the Te Kūiti annual Great NZ Muster. We had awesome representation from our community engagement, Area Committee, ambulance operations and St John Youth teams👌

Our people engaged with the local community and out-of-towners alike, offering ambulance tours and membership sign-ups, medical alarm referrals and lessons on CPR and AED use. Look at the King Country Rams mascot go! 🐑

We look forward to supporting this great event next year 💛
