How long have you been involved with Glendowie Bowling Club?
I joined on the very first day I arrived in St Heliers/Glendowie 18 years ago. I was instantly impressed with the friendly and approachable nature of all its members, the beautiful parklike setting, and the comfort that this was a boutique Club focussing on enjoyment and friendship. The Glendowie Bowling Club has a supportive and inclusive culture – second to none.
What inspired you to support our club?
Every business and sports association needs continual volunteer and financial support. I currently sponsor four separate Bowling Clubs, however, Glendowie is my home – we live in the area and have raised our family here. Glendowie is a family friendly environment, and I am very proud of my association with the Bowling Club and grateful of the support and advocacy of all of their members and the wider community.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Glendowie Bowls community?
It is noticeable that everyone is approachable, supportive, friendly, and sincere. It is a safe and peaceful location to enjoy the pleasure of bowls, be it at a competitive or casual level. The primary focus of the Glendowie Bowls community is to provide a wonderful playing environment and an enjoyable association – available every day, or as often as you would like. We have fantastic members and exceptional playing facilities. Bowls is arguably one of the cheapest sports you can enjoy each and every day, regardless of your ability and your time availability, and regardless of your age.
What would you like the Glendowie community to know about your business?
I am a recognised member of the Club, living in Glendowie, and have been supporting and sponsoring the Club very year for almost 20 years. I am a proven and recognised Real Estate Agent with a reputation of integrity and performance at the highest level. I am ‘one of you’ and available at any time to provide advice, assist you with your future real estate planning, or simply play a game a bowls. Yes, sponsors support sporting organisations to increase visibility and to secure future business, however, I do it also from a passion point of view – this is my Bowling Club and my local community, and I love living and being here.
