Rotary Auckland Airport WHAT IS ROTARY

It all started on 23 February 1905 – 113 years ago. Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer, got three friends together to discuss a new club.

Paul had been brought up in small mid-west communities where neighbours looked after each other and a sp Auckland Airport Rotary is a part of Rotary International. Rotary International has 1.3 million members some of whom will be your neighbours, friends, business colleagues or people you come across in your daily life whether in your local community or across the globe. Rotarians create positive,

lasting change in the local community and around the world. Rotarians and Rotary are different because we have a distinct point of view and approach gives us unique advantages:
• We see differently: Our multidisciplinary perspective helps us see challenges in unique ways.
• We think differently: We apply leadership and expertise to social issues—and find unique solutions.
• We act responsibly: Our passion and perseverance create lasting change.
• We make a difference locally and around the world: Our members maybe local but we have a strong relationship with Rotarians across the globe. Rotarians are of diverse ages, occupations, cultures, and experiences giving them a unique perspective with a shared passion for service that helps them make a real difference in the community. Some Rotarians have a long business experience, with some holding senior leadership positions in their vocations while others are early in their careers. Whatever their experience they all bring to the club skills, ideas and commitment they are encouraged to contribute in service of others. All Rotarians from the day they join Rotary are equal in status to all their fellow members no matter the roles they may choose to take on in their club or the wider Rotary. All have the right to be engaged in the club and the global Rotary and their fellow Rotarians encourage and support this. As a consequence Rotary is a positive environment for members to put their hand up and try and learn new skills and enjoy new experiences.

Thank You for Making Culture Fest 2026 a Success!

The Rotary of Auckland Airport would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Culture Fest 2026 such a wonderful evening.

Thank you to all our amazing performers who proudly showcased their cultures through music, dance, and entertainment, creating a vibrant and memorable celebration of diversity.

A special thank you to our Emcee , Lorenzo Kaisara, whose energy, humour, and engagement kept the audience entertained throughout the evening.

We are grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, local board members, fellow Rotary members who attended and supported the event, and to Jyoti Singh, District Governor Elect (DGE) for Rotary International District 9920, for joining us on the night.

Finally, thank you to everyone who attended and celebrated with us. Your support and enthusiasm made the event a great success.

Together, we celebrated culture, friendship, and community.
