Odyssey Youth

Odyssey Youth The youth services team at Odyssey offers support for rangatahi by exploring ways through some of th Arohanui, Odyssey Youth Services.

We support rangatahi to find a way to talk about and manage feelings, navigate challenging relationships, and reconnect with your roots and whānau.

* * * It is not just about who you are now; it is about who you want to be.

* * * The youth services team is made up of: Youth Community Services; Youth Residential Services; Stand Up!; Korowai Manaaki; and Te Puawai Aroha.

* * * Here on Facebook, we'll share news about our work, as well as information and resources that support wellbeing. We look forward to connecting with you too.

* * * As in all our spaces, our conversations and work are guided by our pillars (or values) - Trust | Honesty | Responsibility | Concern | Love. We encourage everyone to consider these when sharing views here.

* * * This page is moderated from 9am to 4pm each weekday. Outside of these hours, if you need support or wish to get in touch, please visit our website, email or call us as detailed below.

Not sure what your next step is? For many young people, finding a job or getting into study can feel overwhelming. The good news is you don’t have to do it alone.

In this story, we share how support from E Ara E helped one young person build confidence, set goals, and move towards the future they wanted. E Ara E supports 18 – 24 year olds with wellbeing, work and study goals, offering practical help and people who genuinely have your back. It shows what's possible when you have the right support.

Just a friendly reminder if you are planning on mixing your cannabis with alcohol, these two substances can cause different effects depending on which order you take them!
Alcohol increases the absorption of the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, THC. So when you drink alcohol before smoking cannabis, it can make it easier to green-out as well as give symptoms such as sweating, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

So, if you're planning on drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis remember: Grass before b**r, you're in the clear.
