Look out for scam QR code stickers when parking in Auckland 🅿️
We've been made aware of fraudulent QR code stickers being placed on parking meters across Auckland.
These QR codes direct users to a website that appears legitimate, asking for details such as parking duration and licence plate information before prompting them for payment.
While they may look genuine, these QR codes are not associated with Auckland Transport and are designed to scam people paying for parking.
Auckland Transport never uses QR codes on parking machines or for parking payments, so skip the QR codes to stay safe.
👉 Stay safe by using the AT Park app or a credit/debit card. You can pay for on-street parking and parking in AT car parks using a credit or debit card at the nearest parking machine or through the AT Park app.
We're working to remove these stickers as soon as they're identified. If you spot one, please let us know where it's located so we can investigate and remove it.
