Message of care 💛

Before you head through the exhibition, just a gentle note, please look after yourself too.

Some of the stories and artwork shared in this space come from very real experiences with grief, mental health, su***de & personal struggles. Because of this, parts of the exhibition may feel heavy or emotional at times.

Please know you are more than welcome to take breaks between, step outside for some air, have a chat with our team, cuppa or take a moment whenever you need. There’s no pressure to move through the space a certain way.

Thank you for being here, for supporting our HHP team, and for holding space for these stories with care.

Light & Blessings,
-Hit Home Project.

Another glimpse into the hearts behind this exhibition 💛

Every artwork shared carries its own story, perspective, and emotion and we’re so grateful to our artists for trusting us with their pieces and journeys.

To everyone supporting, sharing, creating, and showing up for this space: thank you. This exhibition would not be possible without our community ✨

We can’t wait to bring it all together this weekend.

The Hit Home Project team are excited to announce our annual art exhibition for 2026

Four previous exhibitions come together in one presentation, bringing together five years of work from multiple artists, showing the journey from the beginning through to now, shaped by resilience and strength.

The artwork reflects healing, faith in better days ahead, the impact of su***de and mental health, and the realities our communities face. It speaks to lived experience and how it reshapes people over time, with art used as a way to process, respond, and show real change.

This exhibition also comes to Māngere for the first time, opening space for connection, reflection, and shared strength within the community

📍 Lifeskills Training & Education, 59 Tidal Road, Māngere
📅 Sat 30 May & Sun 31 May
⏰ 10am – 4pm
