Asalam alaikum MoA fam! The MoA admin team have been approached by Michael, the wonderful owner of SOLIS PANELBEATERS, who would like to sponsor a drawing competition during the school holidays! Thank you Solis Panebeaters! He is generously giving away $300 in total, so the MoA admin team have decided to host a competition, there will be 6 winners in total, each of the winners will win $50.

To keep it fair on the children, we have 6 categories. 1 winner will be chosen from each category.

1) Under 5’s
2) 6-8 year old
3) 9-10 years old
4) 11-12 years old
5) 13-15 years old
6) 16-17 years old

All you have to do is : Draw your dream car! Colour it in nicely and make sure there is a ‘Solis Panelbeaters’ Logo displayed somewhere on your drawing. Its that easy! The entry for this competition closes on Friday 11th of July at 11:59PM. All entries have to be sent via private message to Admin Fauzia Ali. Asalam alaikum!

While I am sure a lot of you already know this, I thought I should share this bit of information for the sake of those who don’t know (I only found out recently!), Pastarita has moved from its old location and is now located inside of Westfield Newmarket. Their previous location didn’t offer much in terms of seating and there were parking issues - that is no longer an issue at their new location.

Alhumdulilah it’s awesome that there are 2 muslim owned halal eateries located inside of Westfield Newmarket. Zeta Greek Kitchen and now Pastarita, both of these businesses are located at level 3. Btw, if you download the Westfield app and register your vehicles details on there, you can get 3 hours free parking on weekdays and 2 hours free parking during the weekend.

Asalam alaikum MoA!

For those of you who don’t know, located at 11 Point Chevalier Road, Point Chevalier, there is a proudly Muslim-owned restaurant named The Greek House Restaurant. This Ramadan, treat your tastebuds to 10 mouthwatering main dishes, 15 delectable entrees, indulge in up to 6 different types of desserts, and 6 varieties of drinks at The Greek House’s Iftar Buffet. You’ll find attached a menu in the images below as an example, the menu changes DAILY.

It costs $55 per adult, $27 per child, children under 5 years eat for free. They are open 6 days a week (closed on Tuesdays). Please make your reservations in advance, because most days they are fully booked. For reservations, call them on 0277111511 or (09)8469955

FYI they have prayer mats available (you can ask the friendly staff if you are unable to find it) and you can pray Magrib salah in the hallway or outside on the grass ❤️

Muslim United Voice (MUV), are looking for volunteers in specialised areas to help their organisation grow.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic new organisation. MUV has three core areas of focus:

1. Media
2. Events
3. Civics education

Social Media Editor: The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for video content creation, with expertise in editing videos for platforms like YouTube and Instagram Reels. The role will involve transforming raw footage into polished, engaging content that resonates with our audience.

Technology and Digital Lead:
Own and manage MUV digital applications, Responsible for MUV software selection, implementation and subscription, Lead a team providing technical support to MUV staff, Manage MUV IT budget.

Admin support: Ensuring smooth organisational operations by handling tasks like scheduling, communication, and coordination.
