Sixteen marine conservation groups and Jono Ridler spoke, our message was clear to all the politicians at the Marine Policy Forum yesterday:
* ban bottom trawling
* ban seabed mining
* kill the Fisheries Amendment bill ( this bill disallows public viewing through Official Information Act of onboard cameras on fishing trawlers, imposes heavy fines on people who leak footage, increases ability to dump unwanted fish, decrease ability to challenge fisheries in court.
* more real marine protection areas

Dear ocean lovers 🩵
Following the Bandero's tactics to end krill fishing in Antarctica, it has become apparent confusion still exists, so to clarify...
- the Captain Paul Watson Foundation (CPWF) has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH Sea Shepherd Global (SSG). Their board were Paul Watson's most trusted friends who turned on the very founder of Sea Shepherd himself, dismissing him for being too controversial and not politically pc enough. With them went a fleet of ships and millions of dollars...
- Sea Shepherd France (SSF) and Brazil remained deeply loyal to Paul, the ramifications of changing their name too complex.
- Sea Shepherd New Zealand and Australia DO NOT SUPPORT PAUL WATSON, but both use his image and quotes on their websites, intimating an ongoing relationship. This is morally repugnant and spineless. Shame on them.

CPWF started with nothing except three things three years ago... Paul Watson, passion and moral integrity.
We need your support now more than ever. ✊️🙏🐋🐬🦭🦈

A closer look at the Bandero's "counting coup" move...this has roots in Native American tradition, originating from the warrior cultures of Plains tribes such as the Lakota, Cheyenne, Crow, and Blackfoot. It refers to the act of touching an enemy in battle—often with a hand, a weapon, or a coup stick—without harming them, as a display of courage, skill, and honor.
