Great to attend the 275 Day celebrations yesterday — what an amazing event filled with so many stalls, awesome performances, and incredible food. A real celebration of the vibrancy, diversity and strength of our community. Was awesome attending alongside our PHO team and seeing so many people come together in such a positive way. Well done to Fitz and the team 👏👍.

Today was also another meaningful day attending the Ngā Manga o Māngere stakeholder meeting, where our GM presented our new wellbeing hub initiative. Great to reconnect with friends, colleagues and community leaders who have been supporting our people and communities for many years. Really encouraging to see everyone continuing to work together to improve the wellbeing of our whānau and wider community 🙏💯❤️.

Today is Budget day. Given the last couple of budgets and the way this government's been going, its gonna be interesting to see where they land today.

Will they offer support during these hard times or will they let the train get further off track and only support their mates. Stay tuned for the latest installment of their 'Off track' budget 🥴

Started the day off at Meadowlands Coffee Club supporting our local businesses before heading out to Mangemangeroa Reserve in Botany for a morning walk and kōrero with Stacey Hill from Forest & Bird.

What a beautiful way to start the day, listening to the birds, taking in the amazing views, and talking about the importance of protecting our environment and local natural spaces.

Big thank you to Stacey and the team at Forest & Bird for the important work they continue to do advocating for our environment and future generations. Great conversations and a reminder of how lucky we are to have places like this in our community.

Its been another busy week of seeing patients, PHO work, HNZ meetings, campaign meetings and finishing back in clinic today with the weekend activities on the schedule.

A reminder that behind every appointment is a person or whānau often going through tough times — health struggles, stress, grief, financial pressure, anxiety, and life challenges that many people carry quietly every day. Really grateful to all our healthcare teams who support our communities despite the pressures across the health system.

Please remember to look after yourselves too.
Stay safe, stay healthy, check in on your loved ones, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
Hope everyone has a restful and great weekend ahead, malo 🙏🏽
