Great to have the team out door knocking across Botany this morning! ☀️🚪 Great to also have my candidate colleague Kharag Singh with me as well.

With the school holidays underway, it was lovely to catch up with families with the kids at home and hear from our community. Great conversations on the doors—thank you for sharing your thoughts, your warm welcome and your support. ❤️

Labour will ban hidden fees, so the price you see is the price you pay.

We will take immediate action on your bills by introducing a Fair Go Law to stop businesses making money by tricking their customers.

Most people will know what it’s like to get to the checkout and find the price has gone up because of extra fees. Or to sign up for a subscription in a few clicks, then spend ages trying to cancel it.

These tricks cost people money they can’t afford to waste. You deserve to know the real price, get what you paid for, and be able to leave when a deal no longer works for you.

This is part of our detailed plan to lower costs and help you get ahead.

Just finished door knocking in Botany with the team this afternoon. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us and share what’s on their minds. ❤️

The cost of living, access to healthcare, jobs—these are real pressures affecting our families, and they need fixing.

We cannot afford another three years of National. Our community deserves a government that listens and takes action.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Adrian Rurawhe, a wonderful friend and colleague.

Adrian was always generous with his encouragement and support, especially for those of us coming through as new members. His kindness and warm welcome meant so much, and I will always be grateful.

My love and condolences to his whānau, friends and all who knew him.

E te rangatira, moe mai rā. Today the Labour whānau mourns the passing of Rt Hon Adrian Rurawhe.

Adrian dedicated his life to serving others. From representing the people of Te Tai Hauāuru, to serving as Speaker of the House, he carried himself with mana, dignity and a deep commitment to his people. He was a valued member of our Labour whānau and a passionate advocate for Māori throughout his time in Parliament.

But Adrian was also so much more than the positions he held. He was a colleague, a friend, a proud Rātana man, and someone whose warmth, calm presence and aroha left a lasting mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

His whakapapa carried a remarkable legacy of service, but Adrian forged a legacy of his own. One built on service, humility and an unwavering commitment to whānau, hapū, iwi and Aotearoa.

Our deepest aroha is with Adrian’s whānau, the Rātana community, the people of Te Tai Hauāuru, and everyone who loved him.

We will miss him deeply, and we will always be grateful for everything he gave to Labour, the community and Aotearoa.
