For some Kiwi families, keeping their pets fed can mean going without themselves. 🐾

New Zealand’s cost-of-living pressures are leaving more households struggling to afford enough food, with 1 in 3 NZ households experiencing food insecurity in the past year.

And when you’re trying to make ends meet, your pet doesn’t stop being family. In fact, many pet owners will sacrifice their own comforts and essentials before letting their animals go without. A recent survey of Kiwi pet parents found exactly that. One respondent summed it up simply: “We as the humans will go without before the pets do.”

That’s why Paws of Hope exists.
We believe families shouldn’t have to choose between looking after themselves and looking after the animals they love. By getting nutritious pet food into foodbanks, we can help take one more expense off the table, and keep more pets safely where they belong: at home, with their people 🤍🐾

Introducing… Fill the Bowl Challenge 🥣🐶

JULY-DECEMBER Fill The Bowl with Paws of Hope, so no furry friends go hungry 🐾🐱

We’re setting a challenge to raise $4000
by December to fund a pallet of pet food - provided by Animals Like Us. The pallet will the distributed among food banks across NZ.

We help families facing financial hardship to ensure their pets bellies are full, because pets are family too, and no one deserves to go hungry.
