At Paws of Hope, we’re helping keep pets with the families who love them by supplying pet food to food banks supporting people facing financial hardship.

Introducing… Fill the Bowl Challenge 🥣🐶

JULY-DECEMBER Fill The Bowl with Paws of Hope, so no furry friends go hungry 🐾🐱

We’re setting a challenge to raise $4000
by December to fund a pallet of pet food - provided by Animals Like Us. The pallet will the distributed among food banks across NZ.

We help families facing financial hardship to ensure their pets bellies are full, because pets are family too, and no one deserves to go hungry.

🐾 Wash your pet’s bedding regularly
🐾 Keep carpets vacuumed and furnishings soft

Paws of Hope has now provided 37,000 meals to pet owners struggling to support their pets, increasing the number of meals provided in 2025 by 80% compared to the year before.

Every meal represents a pet kept healthy, a family or individual supported, and one less worry during a difficult time.

Summer is here, but there are a few things to watch out for to keep our pets safe and healthy ☀️🐾

From rising temperatures to dehydration risks, a few simple precautions can help keep pets safe and comfortable in the warmer months.

💧 Always provide fresh water
🌳 Make sure pets have shade and a cool place to rest
🚗 Never leave pets in cars
🔥 Avoid hot pavements and walking during peak heat
🍖 Keep BBQ scraps out of reach
