St Johns Presbyterian Church Papatoetoe We are a Christian Church and Community Centre with diverse ethnicities and ages reflecting our community.

We are based at Hunter’s Corner where the parish has been since 1854. We take an active part in the multi-cultural community around us.

St Johns Youth - tonight we planned our monthly youth nights and reflected on the Christian message on ANZAC. We honour the selfless sacrifice of those who laid down their lives for our freedom, echoing the Christian message of ultimate love (John 15:13). We remember the fallen with gratitude, praying for peace and that their sacrifice inspires us to live with courage and serve others, honoring the hope of eternal life.

This day commemorates Jesus's last supper with his disciples. During that meal in the upper room, Jesus washed his disciples' feet and gave them a new commandment: “Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another” (John 13:34). The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning “command.”
