📣 Eisdell Moore Centre Symposium 2026 – Call for Abstracts Now Open

The Eisdell Moore Centre for Hearing and Balance is pleased to announce our 2026 EMC Symposium, taking place on Thursday 2 – Friday 3 July 2026 at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland (Grafton Campus).

This two‑day symposium will bring together researchers, clinicians, students, and community partners for meaningful kōrero, collaboration, and knowledge‑sharing across hearing and balance research.

🗓 Date: Thursday 2 – Friday 3 July 2026
⏰ Time: 9.00am – 5.00pm
📍 Venue: Room G007, Building 507, Grafton Campus, University of Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Auckland

🎤 Call for Abstracts
We are now inviting abstract submissions for:
• 10‑minute oral presentations
• Poster presentations
• Interactive workshops (1 hour)

The programme will include keynote and invited speakers, panel discussions, free papers, posters, and collaborative workshops. New Zealand Sign Language interpreters will be available throughout the symposium.

We strongly encourage early‑ to mid‑career researchers and clinicians to submit abstracts.

The Eisdell Moore Centre is proud to mark World Hearing Day 2026 by celebrating community‑led action, research, education, and collaboration across Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific, and global networks. As a WHO Collaborating Centre, EMC is highlighting a wide range of activities taking place this year, including the launch of the Dianne McCarthy Travel Fellowship, the EMC Symposium 2026, student and community engagement initiatives, and partner‑led programmes nationwide. World Hearing Day also includes international activity, with EMC expertise contributing to a global webinar hosted by the International Society of Audiology.
