Know someone ready to take the next step in leadership?
We still have spaces open for both Mentors and Mentees in our Wilberforce Mentoring Programme 2026!
At Wilberforce, we believe that emerging leaders are the future—especially in Christian for-purpose organisations. Investing in these leaders now helps sustain and grow the impact of the work we care deeply about.
✨ Who is this for?
Second-tier leaders who are ready to grow—those stepping up, taking on more responsibility, and wanting to build their confidence, skills, and networks.
✨ What to expect:
• One-on-one mentoring with an experienced leader
• Leadership and personal development
• Opportunities to connect with others across the sector
• Growth in faith, character, and confidence
The programme runs from 2 June to 1 December 2026, starting with an in-person orientation day in Auckland.
💬 Do you know someone who would benefit?

"I reached the point where I decided to start taking action instead of just talking about my dreams."

That’s the power of the Wilberforce Mentoring Programme.

Whether you are a Mentee looking for the confidence to lead in a way that aligns with your values or a Mentor ready to gain a fresh perspective while giving back, this is your safe space to learn and grow.

Better-run organisations lead to greater impact and outcomes. Let’s build that future together.

We are looking for mentors and people to be mentored (mentees) for the 2026 programme. If you’d like to be involved, please register your interest by clicking the appropriate link below:

Chairing a board comes with real responsibility — and real opportunity to lead well.
Chairing Well is a practical workshop for current and aspiring Board Chairs who want to lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Facilitated by Peter Crow, this session focuses on the unique role of the Chair — from shaping board culture to supporting effective decision-making and healthy governance–management relationships. It is tailored to those on Boards in the faith-based, for-purpose sector.
Join us for honest conversations, shared learning, and real-world insights to strengthen your leadership.

Kia ora friends! When was the last time you invested in your most valuable human relationship - with your spouse? We prioritise time for careers, church, community, children, Christmas holidays and work events, travel, we hit the gym for self-improvement, we sign up for education courses…but rarely do we intentionally carve out space to grow and get on the same page - as a couple.

Welcome to HOME an amazing couples investment programme that is easily accesaible as a face to face and online option over 6 months. (2x retreats and 3x zoom sessions).

*** Wilberforce is offering 50% off the $950 offering for this amazing kaupapa. Take advantage of this offering…

The programme kicks off THIS FRIDAY (31st Oct) 11am at NAUMI HOTEL (in Auckland). There are four spaces still available for four awesome couples.

To lock in your spot on the HOME programme and or to find out more details. Email Amanda Salmon: [email protected]

Praying for a GREAT weekend for you all.

Go well 🔥⭐️

Tēnā koutou. We’re pleased to share that the Wilberforce Foundation Scholarship Panel met today. The meeting was both inspiring and productive, as the panel reviewed outstanding applicants whose leadership, service, and character reflect the values of the Foundation.

We look forward to announcing the new 2025 Wilberforce Scholars soon — future leaders who will continue to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Ngā mihi nui to our panel members for their time, wisdom, and commitment to this kaupapa.

We’d like to once again thank Andrew Saunders for his time chairing the panel over the years and we’d like to now announce and celebrate the appointments of Holika Uhila and Jade Hohaia as the new Co-Chairs.

Mīharo rawa!
