Auckland Transport is introducing Mobility e-Permits, a new way to link a physical mobility parking permit to a vehicle's number plate.

Mobility e-permits are designed to make parking simpler and give permit holders greater confidence. By linking a permit to a vehicle, parking systems can recognise when the vehicle is eligible for extra parking time and other mobility parking concessions. This helps reduce the likelihood of receiving an incorrect parking fine.

The mobility e-permit is free and optional and does not replace the physical permit.

To learn more and apply for a mobility e-permit, visit the link in the comments.

Image description: A close-up photo of an asphalt car park featuring a yellow spray-painted accessibility symbol of a person using a wheelchair. Beneath it, white text reads: "Mobility e-permit" and "Park with greater confidence. Your permit, matched to your vehicle for a smoother parking experience." An Auckland Transport logo appears in the top right corner, and an Auckland Council logo is displayed in the bottom right corner.

DCS takes on Kelly Tarlton's - what an awesome day! A highlight for most of our members was watching the penguins get fed and going on the travelator through the aquarium - especially saying hello to the divers cleaning the tank. How cool! 🐟🤿

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers that joined us to make this an amazing day.

We recently hosted our annual DCS Disco. This year's theme was "Turn it Neon" - complete with UV lights and glow sticks! We had an amazing afternoon with some incredible dance moves.

Thanks to Sanjeev at Auckland Sound Hire and Greg at Pretty Lights Production for your equipment - we couldn't have put together a party this great without your generosity.

We had arranged a surprise treat for our members, and a beautiful soul visiting our Op Shop - the lovely Marlene, spontaneously and very kindly donated the funds to pay for everyone's ice creams. There are still beautiful humans out there :)
