Śp. Pani Jadwiga Fryckowska. 🥀

It is with profound sadness we share the news of the passing of Śp. Pani Jadwiga Fryckowska.

Born in Łódź Poland in 1932, Pani Jadwiga arrived in New Zealand in 1966 and went on to become a respected leader of our Polish community in Auckland. She was a long-standing member of the Auckland Polish Association and served as Prezes from 1974-76 when the new Dom Polski was constructed and opened. She then did two additional terms as Prezes from 1993-95. She will be remembered as forward-thinking, compassionate, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the building of Dom Polski. It is with saddened hearts that she will not be with us to celebrate this milestone event, but we will acknowledge her significant contribution on the day.

We extend heartfelt condolences to the Fryckowski family.

A funeral service for Pani Jadwiga Fryckowska will be held at St Paul's College Chapel, 183 Richmond Rd, Grey Lynn at 10.00am, Thursday 4th June .

After Mass the family invite you to join them at Dom Polski, 1 McDonald St, Morningside or you can join them at Waikumete Cemetery first . The family will then join everyone at the Dom Polski.

For those attending the funeral, flowers would be appreciated or a donation to either the Red Cross for their help in connecting Jadwiga with family after the war, or to the Auckland Polish Association for the continued maintenance of Polish heritage in Auckland.

Niech spoczywa w pokoju - May she rest in peace ❤️

Our sincere sympathies.

🇵🇱🥀✝️We are profoundly saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Leszek (L**h) Beltowski, a distinguished Polish-Kiwi. Dr. Beltowski was a devoted medical professional and a respected figure within the Polish community in Auckland. He was kind and always ready to help others, including those in urgent need. He was known for his notable collection of Polish historical sabers and swords, which he exhibited at several events in Auckland, including the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. Dr. Beltowski was an active member of the ACT Party and its candidate for the New Zealand Parliament in 2002 in Auckland Central. He campaigned on "zero tolerance" for crime. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his family and friends during this difficult time. R.I.P. L**h. His funeral will be held on the 6th of May in Whangamata. https://notices.nzherald.co.nz/nz/obituaries/nzherald-nz/name/leszek-beltowski-obituary?id=61373890&utm_source=webshareapi&utm_medium=share_button&utm_campaign=wsapimobile_beta
