Kia ora! 🥝 We are excited to tell you that Spectacle is going to hold a special general meeting on the 8th March around 1pm, online via Zoom. There will also be a short chat and opportunity for a Q&A session introducing Spectacle for the year, so please feel free to drop in and say hi, even if you don't stay for the SGM! We can't wait to see some old faces…maybe also new ones! If you have friends who are interested in being part of the French Play this year, please also invite them to come along 🤗. Bonjour tout le monde!

I’m just announcing the production that our club is putting on this year. It’s called Bêêêlent familles. We’re looking for people that are interested in getting involved in both the acting and behind the scenes of the production. It is going to be in French but we have people of all levels of French ability who are involved so knowing French isn’t a requirement.

For those that want to audition, we’ve postponed the auditions from the 18th to the 25th despite what it says on the poster. And for people that would want to help out backstage, they should feel free to contact us anytime.

Tickets are on sale now!

Bonjour! Come and support SPECTACLE: Club de Théâtre Français with their first annual amateur French production! Every year, Francophiles with varying levels of French put on a production entirely in French to encourage the learning and the use of the French language in New Zealand.

Bruno Lacroix’s comedic farce HAUT VOL tells the story of a desperate businessman on the verge of bankruptcy. He recruits a whimsical and unpredictable actor to help him commit insurance fraud using his wife’s jewellery. Will this devious plan work, or will there be a dark ending? Come and see for yourself!

This comedic one-night-only performance is not to be missed!
The show will be playing at the Vic Cinema in Devonport on the 8th of December at 7:00 PM. A live film crew will also record this performance, so make sure to bring your best laughs and applauses. All proceeds go towards next year’s production.
