SEASCA’s Mother’s Day celebrations on 17th May 2026 was a wonderful and memorable event with a huge turnout of mothers and families. Mothers dressed beautifully in the elegant Asha Bhosle theme, adding colour and glamour to the occasion. Everyone enjoyed delicious snacks, food, birthday celebrations, and Mother’s Day cake cutting. The programme featured lively songs, dances, laughter, and entertainment throughout the day. A special highlight was the beautiful henna painting by Saachi - greatly enjoyed by all the mothers present.

Seasca 5th camping at Kokako Lodge, Hunua Falls on 18 April was again a wonderful experience! We enjoyed a scenic bus trip to the camp, and despite a forecast of thunderstorms, the weather turned out great.
The evening was lively with songs, dance, and everyone pitching in to prepare and cook both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dinner. The Hunua Falls were roaring with power after the extra water in the lake — a spectacular sight.
A number of the ladies were having so much fun they forgot to sleep! We even had a few “in-house doctors” spring into action when one camper had cramps.
The return trip was just as joyful, full of smiles, stories, and happy memories. A truly memorable outing for all!

Seasca Holi Celebrations 08Mar26 Part 1 of 2
SEASCA celebrated the festival of Holi with great enthusiasm and happiness on Sunday 8th March at Botany Downs Secondary College. Our seniors, along with members from sister organisations, friends & family, came together to enjoy this beautiful festival of colours.
It was heart-warming to see everyone participating with such energy and spirit, strengthening friendships and community bonds.
A big thanks to all who joined us and helped make the celebration so memorable – especially the amazing students from Ormiston College with their helping hands.
Events like these remind us that age is no barrier to celebrating life. Our seniors truly showed that the spirit of Holi is about togetherness, happiness, and spreading love.
Holi Hai! Wishing everyone a very Happy Holi.

On 22 February 2026, close to 40 members of SEASCA enjoyed a wonderful picnic at Wenderholm Regional Park. The weather was beautiful and the park was not too busy, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Members shared a delicious joint lunch and great fellowship. The bus ride home was filled with singing and jokes, adding to the fun.

Our sincere thanks to the Lottery Grants Board for their generous grant, which made this memorable day possible.

On 18 February, members of SEASCA’s Wellbeing and Seniors’ Connect Project enjoyed a memorable visit to Ihumātao.
We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, which added to the enjoyment of the day. The guided adventures and excursions brought to life the unique stories, rich history, and distinctive ecology of Ihumātao, offering valuable insights into this significant heritage landscape.
It was heartening to see everyone actively engaged, smiling, and fully embracing the experience.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board and Rosa Chow from Inclusionz New Zealand for facilitating and supporting this enriching trip.

20Dec25 - SEASCA celebrated the festive season with a joyful Christmas function on 20 December at Texas Smoke House, Manukau.
The evening brought together SEASCA members and friends, alongside our Local MP, representatives from the Ōtara-Papatoetoe, Manurewa, and Howick Local Boards, our sister organisations, and our Pasifika and Māori friends.
It was a wonderful occasion of fellowship, laughter, and cultural togetherness, reflecting the strong relationships and inclusive spirit that SEASCA continues to foster within our diverse South Auckland community.
