Many of you may know about our flood recovery work with Auckland Council throughout last year. Through that programme we were able to provide much-needed support to affected families and individuals throughout Tāmaki Makaurau, and it helped many get back on their feet. Unfortunately, there are still some families who continue to feel the impacts.

Thanks to everyone who joined our Senior Women’s Wellbeing Group last week!
We discussed the importance of healthy foods and nutrition and how they can improve energy and wellbeing. We prepared simple and healthy snacks using everyday ingredients, and finished off with some fun mental exercises, chair yoga, and dancing.
Our next session will be on Wednesday, 22 April from 2:30 to 4:30pm. Join us again at Fickling Convention Centre!

During our last session, we focused on walking for health. We discussed the importance of keeping active in our golden years, practiced support and mobility activities, and did some light balance exercises.

Last month we had the opportunity to send our men's group to Waitangi to learn more about the history of Aotearoa and Te Ao Māori. It was an incredible experience for everyone and we wanted to thank Dr Arif Saeid and Adele Harrison from E Tū Whānau, and Shirleyanne Brown from Wot Matters for making this happen!
