There have been a few articles in the media of late about the state of kidney health facilities, support and care in New Zealand, so it was it was great to see an article (and a positive one) about the Ashburton Kidney Society in the Ashburton Courier last week.

Kidney health connects all the members of the Ashburton Kidney Society support group. A bit of notable history for those in the kidney transplant community - Today, the 23rd of December, back in 1954, the first truly successful kidney transplant took place in Boston. Long may medical advancements like this continue.
