Presented by Community Wellbeing North Canterbury Trust and Together Hurunui, the evening will be run by Sharyn Gousmett from Mighty Willows and will offer practical support, real-world strategies, and a safe space for parents to learn alongside others in similar situations.

It's all happening Tuesday 10 March at 7pm at Amberley School - 2 Lawcocks Road, Amberley.

The MainPower Community Fund is now open and will stay open until midnight 31 March.

Funding from this round will be awarded in May 2026.

There is a total of $40,000 available which will be split between North Canterbury community groups, charitable/cultural organisations and local schools.

Funding ranges from $50 - $5,000.

Voting is open for the 2026 MainPower Trust election.
Voting packs have been emailed or posted by Electionz.com to everyone who pays a power bill on the MainPower network. You need to have the unique ID provided to cast your vote.

Voting closes Friday 6 March 2026.

There are seven Trustees of the MainPower Trust, all of whom must be Qualifying Customers of MainPower. Trustee elections are held every three years, and prior to each election up to three Trustees will retire (generally the longest-serving), although they can stand for re-election if they wish.
