The COMS is run by committe and all its full financial members are committee members. We elect a president, treasurer, secretary and newsletter editor annually. Our registered name is the IPMS Central Otago Model Society Incorporated. Our members take turns to coordinate our display arrangements at the various events we attend. Our Meetings
The COMS meets twice monthly for members to work on modelling projects. Date: Second Sunday of each month
Venue: Alexandra Community House, 14-16 Centennial Ave - between the Tin Goose Cafe and the Presbyterian Church
Time: 1200 - 1700. Date: Third Sunday of each month
Venue: Alexandra Scout Hall, Boundary Road - adjacent to the Molyneux Aquatic Centre
Time: 1200 - 1700. Membership
The COMS welcomes enquiries for membership. Either contact us by post or email, or even better, call in at one of our monthly meetings and get a feel for us and the modelling we do. Our senior members commonly mentor younger folk to help them improve their modelling skills. Membership fees are:
Individual: $30 per year
Family: $40 per year
Junior: $15 per year
Associate: $15 per year (non-committee status, entitled to a monthly newsletter.) Membership fees are payable in January each year. Events
