Karunika Foundation, situated in Nepal, is a humanitarian and educational institution primarily focusing on aiding children from the poorest social and m
aterial backgrounds. Currently, it cares for over 700 children across 5 districts in Nepal, providing essential support in various forms:
Educational Support: They offer educational tools and support to enable children to fully engage and succeed in their schooling. Mid-Day Meals: Recognizing the importance of nutrition for mental and physical health, Karunika provides daily nutritious mid-day meals to over 700 children. This program encourages regular school attendance and helps in addressing nutritional needs of children. Holistic Child Development: Beyond academics, the foundation supports the overall development and growth of children, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive. Humanitarian Projects: Karunika runs projects aimed at improving human well-being, with the goal of ensuring a dignified life for every individual, free from poverty. Family by Heart Program: This particular program supports over 500 children, offering long-term care to those from underprivileged backgrounds. It includes stationary facilities near Kathmandu, serving 15-20 children, and extends support to remote areas in the Himalayas. Local Community Support: Karunika Foundation also responds to local needs, as seen in their recent visit to a village in Kulekhani, which was in dire need of support post an earthquake. They plan to extend further assistance with meals and education to the local school children there. Karunika Foundation invites support and collaboration from all quarters to continue and expand its efforts in making a lasting difference in the lives of children in Nepal
