Nhu Daya Bhintuna : Nepal Sambat 1146

The fourth day of Tihar marks the New Year of the Newa community, celebrated with joy, lights, and tradition. According to legend, a businessman named Shankhadhar Sakhwa paid off all the debts of the people of Kathmandu Valley, giving them a fresh start a new life. 🌸

To honor this noble act, a new era called Nepal Sambat was established, and the day became known as Nhu Daya Bhintuna, meaning Happy New Year in the Newa language.

Heritage Cleaning Phase I – Thimi
On September 20, the Rotaract Club of Madhyapur, in collab with the Leo Club of Bhaktapur Real Tech, successfully carried out Phase I of the Heritage Cleaning Project in Thimi. The initiative focused on safeguarding our cultural legacy through the cleaning and preservation of ancient stone inscriptions — timeless reflections of our history and identity. Volunteers from both clubs joined hands to clean the stone inscriptions of Siddhikali Temple, Balkumari, and other nearby heritage sites, helping revive their historic essence and spreading awareness about the need to protect such cultural landmarks for generations to come.

Heritage Cleaning Phase I – Bode

On 18th September, the Rotaract Club of Madhyapur, in collaboration with the Leo Club of Bhaktapur Real Tech, successfully conducted Phase I of the Heritage Cleaning Project in Bode.

This joint initiative aimed to promote and preserve our cultural heritage, focusing mainly on the cleaning and conservation of stone inscriptions—a vital part of our history and identity.

During this phase, members from both clubs worked together to clean temples, restoring their beauty and highlighting the importance of protecting heritage spaces for future generations.

On 16th September, the Rotaract Club of Madhyapur successfully hosted a virtual Canva Training Session facilitated by Rtr. Samrat Prajapati, our talented Public Image Chair.

The session was joined by 26 enthusiastic members who actively engaged in learning how to design creative and impactful posts. The training also introduced participants to new and advanced Canva features, helping them enhance their visual storytelling and content design skills.

This session aimed to boost members’ creativity and strengthen the club’s public image through better design and presentation. A huge thank you to everyone who joined and made this learning session interactive and fun! 💫
