Our Story
Thaprek Tourism and Community Development Foundation (TTCDF) is a non- profit organization with the aim to provide information to interested businesses, organizations and tourists who wish to join TTCDF in promoting Thaprek as a desirable tourist destination and to improve the living standard of the people in Thaprek as well we aim to achieve better health, education, facilities and social developments of the people for the better future. We also have a vision to work in the field of education, health care, social developments, environment managements as well as economic development.
About Thaprek
Thaprek is a best for a mountain view with charming local villages of different faces of Nepal people. This area is inhabited by a mix people of Brahmans, Chhetris, Muslims, Dalits and Gurungs. Thaprek hiking starts from Rajchautara Phedi for an hour drive from pokhara in a private car or jeep and then begin your real hike by ascending to Thaprek (Appro. 3 Hrs) and from here you can see panoramic views of Annapurna (8091m), Manasalu (8165m), Ganesh Himal (7446m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Machhapuchare (the sacred mountain) and 25 other mountains above 6000 meters high.
