Salaam everyone,

We're transitioning from lu.ma to https://onemorehike.com

We started off as a Facebook Group in 2023, outgrew that into our own website, and lu.ma for events by 2025, and now we're joining onemorehike.com as a community of Outdoor Enthusiast

To ease with the transition, all of the events in August will be free. All you need to sign up is just your email.

✅ If you are a member, your membership will be automatically transfered from lu.ma to onemorehike.com
✅ If you are a host, you will continue to have the ability to create events
✅ We'll continue linking the events through lu.ma so we don't lose people because they didn't see the new website
✅ Our website will embed the events from onemorehike.com so it'll remain the source of truth

Full disclosure, this is a personal project of mine for quiet some time. I might have talked about it with some of you over hikes, and you might have seen some MVPs in the recent weeks as I've worked to get this out. However, it is still very new, and there can be bugs and issues. If you encounter any issue, please reach out to me. We are the second community onboarding to OMH! so you're getting onboard right at the beginning of a beautiful journey

💚 Meet our Member Spotlight: Faisal! 🥾

We asked our community to nominate someone who goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and excited to keep coming back for more adventures.

The response was overwhelming—Faisal was the clear favorite! 🎉

Over the past year, Faisal bhai (or Faisal Uncle, as he proudly likes to be called 😄) has become a familiar face at almost every MOA event. Whether it's offering words of encouragement, sharing his wisdom, or motivating everyone to get outside, he brings incredible positivity wherever he goes.

The most common words people used to describe him?
✨ "Energetic."
💪 "His energy and determination get everyone moving."
🥾 "He turns every hike into an amazing workout!"

Thank you, Faisal, for helping make MOA such a welcoming, fun, and inspiring community. We appreciate everything you do, and we're lucky to have you on the trails with us! ❤️🌲

This year we are also highlighting 'Most Valuable Hiker'. Someone who regularly goes above and beyond to motivate, inspire, and help out in making the hikes a fun and adventurous experience! It could be someone who made it possible for you to attend hikes by giving you a ride, or someone who gave you the motivation to keep going on a long distance trail!

The first long hike of the season!

Ahmed led the group on a 24km hike in Toronto to start off our 20km+ hikes this summer. We had a great turn out Alhamdulilah of both sisters and brothers joining!
