We, Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) held field trainings and follow-up sessions last week across multiple rain communities.
In total, 57 farmers across four rain communities Tobang, Hattibang, Chhapdada, and Ghurkesh participated in field demonstrations on soil management techniques tailored to different crops (mustard, coriander and carrot) intended for polytunnel cultivation.
Similarly, earthworms introduced into the project's vermicompost pits are now active and expected to produce around 300 kg of vermicompost within two months, to be used for improving soil fertility in the polytunnels.
Through these coordinated training and follow-up efforts, SVSI continues to strengthen local capacity in sustainable agriculture, promote agro-ecological practices, and support climate-resilient livelihoods within the communities served with our partner International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance - IRHA.
