A great pleasure to inaugurate the new Thade village water system, developed in collaboration with Dolma Foundation, The Worshipful Company of Plumbers and Highland Secondary Boarding School. The community were delighted and deserved the celebration after toiling throughout monsoon to achieve this breakthrough in health and sanitation.

Nepal has experienced severe floods. Due to landslides in the area of the Dolma Foundation and The Worshipful Company of Plumbers water supply project, construction has been on hold. Thankfully, the rain has abated and the team should resume work tomorrow. Watch this space for updates.

At least 29 people are reported missing and 6,083 families have been affected by disaster-related incidents.

A new Dolma Foundation project for The Worshipful Company of Plumbers in the remote village of Thade has begun. Villagers carry pipes, materials and 2x10,000 litre storage tanks to a high mountain spring to provide running water for villagers. The work uses graduates from our 2023 training programme.
