A well-fed camel can store up to ~36 kg (80 lb) of fat in its hump! ๐Ÿช

And hereโ€™s the amazing partโ€”when food becomes scarce, the camel breaks down this stored fat to produce energy and support its bodyโ€™s needs. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

As the fat reserve is used, the hump gradually shrinks and may become floppy.

Botulinum toxin, produced by ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ is one of the most potent biological toxins known to science. Yet, in carefully controlled and highly diluted doses, the same toxin has become an important medical treatment.

๐Ÿฆ  How does it work?
Botulinum toxin blocks communication between nerves and muscles, preventing muscle contraction and causing flaccid paralysis.

๐Ÿ’‰ Medical Uses
Under strict medical supervision, botulinum toxin is used to:
Reduce wrinkles and fine lines
Treat certain muscle spasms and disorders
Prevent chronic migraines
Manage excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

One Health Nepal successfully organized the โ€œBasic Mapping in QGISโ€ program on 11 August 2026 at Vet Complex, Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan, under the chairpersonship of Sabina Pandey, President of One Health Nepal, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Shekhar Pokharel as the Chief Guest and Resource Person.

The session provided participants with practical knowledge of QGIS, GIS mapping, and spatial data applications in veterinary medicine, public health, research, agriculture, and the One Health approach.
We sincerely thank Asst. Prof. Dr. Shekhar Pokharel for sharing his valuable knowledge, expertise, and practical insights with the participants.
