अन्तरराष्ट्रिय श्रवणदृष्टि विहीनता दिवस २०८३ को अवसरमा श्रवणदृष्टि विहीन संघ नेपाल द्वारा पोखरामा "खुल्ला सडक दौड प्रतियोगिता" आयोजना हुन गइरहेको छ। स्पर्श र सामीप्यताका माध्यमबाट समाज र श्रवणदृष्टि विहीनता भएका व्यक्तिहरूबीचको दूरी मेटाउन र उनीहरूको अधिकारका लागि ऐक्यबद्धता जनाउन यो दौड एउटा उत्सवको रुपमा मनाउन गइरहेका छौँ ।
आउनुहोस्, हामी सबै मिलि जनचेतना फैलाउन र अवरोधमुक्त समावेशी समाज निर्माणका लागि सँगै दगुरौँ!

जेठ १९ गते महिला, बालबालिका, लैङ्गिक तथा यौनिक अल्पसङ्ख्यक र सामाजिक सुरक्षा मन्त्रालय द्वारा अपाङ्गता अधिकार एन संसोधनका लागि तयार पारिएको मस्यौदामा छलफल गरेको छ । जसमा सरोकारवाला विभिन्न अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्ति र संघ संस्थाको सहभागिता रहेको थियो । श्रवणदृष्टि विहीन संघ नेपालका तर्फबाट अध्यक्ष पुष्पराज रिमाल तथा महासचिव प्रशान्त कठायत सहभागि हुनु भएको थियो । संघको तर्फबाट श्रवणदृष्टि विहीनतालाई पुनः परिभाषित गरिनु पर्ने त्यसका प्रकारहरु खुलाइनु पर्ने कुरा संसोधनमा छुटेकोले थप गर्न सुझाव दिनु भएको छ । श्रवणदृष्टि विहीन संघलाई अवसर दिनु भएकोमा मन्त्रालय र मन्त्री ज्यू प्रति आभारी छौं ।
On June 2 (Jestha 19), the Ministry of Women, Children, Gender, Sexual Minorities, and Social Security organized a discussion on the draft amendment to the Disability Rights Act. The event saw active participation from various persons with disabilities and stakeholder organizations. Representing the Deafblind Association of Nepal (DAN), President Pushpa Raj Rimal and General Secretary Prashant Kathayat attended the meeting. On behalf of the association, they pointed out that the redefinition of deafblindness and the clarification of its types were missing from the draft and recommended that these elements be included in the amendment. We express our sincere gratitude to the Ministry and the Honorable Minister for providing this valuable opportunity to the Deafblind Association.

आज श्रवणदृष्टि विहीन संघ नेपालका अध्यक्ष, महासचिव र कोषाध्यक्षले महिला बालबालिका तथा जेष्ठनागरिक मन्त्री ज्यु सँग भेटघाट गर्नुभएको छ । उक्त भेटमा श्रवणदृष्टि विहीन व्यक्तिहरुका विविध समस्याहरुका विषयमा छलफल भएको थियो । समय र संवादका लागि मन्त्री ज्युलाई धन्यवाद ।
Today, the President, General Secretary, and Treasurer of the Deafblind Association of Nepal met with the Honorable Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens. During the meeting, various issues and challenges faced by persons with deafblindness were discussed. Our sincere thanks to the Honorable Minister for her time and the meaningful dialogue.
