The idea for CCDP (before known as CDP) was informally proposed in 1998 and was formally established in 1999. Since that time, the project has been expanded from the city of Pokhara to the surrounding countryside. CCDP is funded by gifts and donations from churches, organizations and individuals from within Nepal as well as abroad and welcomes contributions in any amount. CCDP has a children home
for the needy children who are provided with all the facilities of lodging, fooding and schooling. CCDP has been able to support even more children with full support. At the moment, there are about 110 children getting support from CCDP. Of these 14 are getting the full support (living expences and school fees, materials, uniforms etc.) and the rest partial support or community based support(school fees, materials, uniforms).
