A Celebration of Hope: International Onni Day, 2008–2025

For more than a decade and a half, a journey has been steadily forged into a legacy of hope.

The heart of this celebration are Mr. Carl Steinfort and Ms. Tuuli Vikstedt. As partners in life and in purpose, they have built a loving family for 16 children, offering them a sanctuary of care and encouragement. Their generosity ripples outward, supporting the education of many more young scholars year after year.

May the message of Onni Day resonate within us all; that even in the deepest darkness, we are surrounded by a good hearts that helps us heal, endure, and emerge more independent and hopeful with each new dawn.

The Namaste Community Foundation, Nepal (www.ncf-nepal.org), is overjoyed to share that our daughter, Miss Shova Kunwar, has been accepted to a prestigious law school in Michigan, USA. This achievement marks a major milestone in her academic journey and fills our family with immense pride and happiness.

Shova, along with her two siblings, has benefited from support through Onni Children's House for more than 16 years. Her success is a testament to her brilliance, courage, hard work, and unwavering dedication.

We have every confidence that Shova will approach this new chapter with the same determination and grace she has always shown. We encourage her to embrace this world-class opportunity and make the most of it.

We are deeply grateful to Wind of Change International-Australia/Finland, for the guidance and mentorship they have provided to Shova and to 15 other children supported through Onni Children's House, as well as many others in the educational scholarship program and during natural disasters. For more than 16 years (since Oct 2008), they have created immense opportunities that empower these young people to grow into independent, capable individuals.

Celebrating the Success of Our 17th Tailoring Training Batch!

We are delighted to share the successful completion of our 17th tailoring training program, which began on 15th May, 2025, empowering 11 single women with valuable skills for financial independence. Among them, 10 trainees have graduated with essential tailoring and entrepreneurship expertise, while one participant had to pause due to health reasons but looks forward to joining our next batch.

A special thanks to the Namaste Foundation, Netherlands for their unwavering partnership for over 1.5 decades in this transformative initiative, helping women build sustainable livelihoods and thrive in their communities.

With this batch, we have now empowered over 315 single women, offering them renewed hope and opportunities for self-reliance.

Join us in creating more success stories; because when women rise, communities flourish!
